Whether you are a woman on the field or cheering from the stands, football has become a game for the gals! The story of Erin DiMeglio, a high school senior at South Plantation High School in Davie, Florida, is my inspiration for the week. DiMeglio took two snaps Friday night and became the first woman to play quarterback in a Florida regular-season game. There is a fearlessness in Erin and it is awesome to see her throw down like her male peers. For those that know me, you understand my obsession with women that have long hair. That is not the only reason I love Erin. Check it out:
- She does her thing
- She commands the huddle (of 10 teenage men)
- She doesn't ask for special treatment
- She throws a spiral like no other
