KK on The Today Show

Left - Kathryn Kerrigan on the Today Show; Right - Nintendo DS Lite
The Today Show:
Nintendo & The Today Show know a hip gal when they see one. Kathryn Kerrigan was approached by Nintendo to host a swanky party to launch Nintendo DS Lite at a chic loft in Chicago early Spring 2008. In typical KK style, she grabbed all her gal pals from Lake Forest College, friends & customers and, of course, Mom & Monica. Today Show was there to take in all the fun. Campaign for Fashion

Campaign Fashion
First ladies are often considered to be style icons. While Coco Chanel will always be credited with revolutionizing fashion and liberating women from confining corsets, one of the women below will be scrutinized at every press conference and public appearance for the next four years. We live in a democratic society and as a trained MBA shoe designer, I must perform a fashion comparative analysis before reaching a decision...
Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain are modern, confident and committed to bringing fashion to the White House. No mother-of-the bride dresses or matronly suits here. We are not talking about sexy, skin type dresses either and we're also not talking about the buttoned-up suits donned by our gal Hillary. We're talking about elegant women with great style.

Pearls & Power Color: Analysis aside, they're not that different.

If I had to pick one woman to don Kathryn Kerrigans on the campaign trail, it would definitely be Michelle Obama. Sorry Chairman of the Board, Mrs. McCain, Michelle has the height of a Kathryn Kerrigan Gal. As for which style icon should be brought into the White House, I am still undecided.

Checklist: Lincoln Park, Chicago
As its name suggests, the area is bounded by beautiful Lincoln Park. This mature neighborhood boasts lovely brownstones and you'll find respected private and public schools, trendy restaurants and of course, shops. Not just shops, but fashion-forward, independent boutiques such as French clothiers, Betsey Johnson and Kiehl's. Just north of downtown, the North Avenue / Clybourn corridor is host to my favorite gem of all... 9 and Up! Here you can find new, Kathryn Kerrigan styles and meet the owner, Tyra Banks... yes, Tyra Banks.
9 and Up located at 1745 N. Clybourn Chicago, 312.335.1745
After a day of boutique hopping, stop by Rose Angelis Italian restaurant and relax with a great vino from their exceptional wine bar. Great for romantic al fresco dining with your mate.

Fashion Takes Centre Court: For Maria Sharapova it's tuxe, not luxe.
This is why I love tennis... The only women's sport where competitors show off their athleticism in white, hot fashion and $5,000 Tiffany diamond-drop earrings. At 6'2" Sharapova had fun adhering to Wimbledon's strict white-only dress code and beating French qualifier Foretz 6-1, 6-4 in the first round. At the post-match news conference, the questions were not about her win over Foretz. Come on now, this is Kathryn Kerrigan - it was all about her outfit!
Kudos to Sharapova for kicking butt in style. Now, let's get this tall & stylish tennis star into some gorgeous Kathryn Kerrigan heels.

All Hail the Pony Tail, Glow with Armani

All Hail the Pony Tail
The ponytail is a relatively low-maintenance look - which is great considering it was one of the biggest beauty trends on the summer catwalks. From Louis Vuitton to Fendi and Marni, the ponytail took on different guises - but remained a strong contender with the hair across the Paris and Milan runways. While sleek and sophisticated, I particularly love this style because it fits into my hectic schedule.

Mediterranean Glow
Giorgio Armani reveals the secret to the Mediterranean natural sun color without sun. Last week the Armani makeup counter at Saks blended their new Mediterranean color pallet to my summer-tanned face, which also matched the Pre-Fall Armani wardrobe I donned. Thank you to Nena Ivon & Saks Fifth Avenue for a wonderful Biz-Makeover experience!! See below.
For the first time, an Armani unique combination of water-soluble tints and very fine Micro-fil mineral pigments in a fresh gel texture. The water-soluble tints blend naturally with skin’s surface for an immediate, soft coloration that lasts all-day. Micro-fil mineral pigments are associated with reflective particles for a radiant and natural result. Skin instantly glows with a tone on tone Mediterranean tan.

Checklist: London's First Ever Jewelry Fashion Week
London Jewelry Fashion Week, sponsored by Coutts, was held on June 11 - 15, 2008. Japanese jewelry designer Ginza Tanaka impressed jewelry fanatics with a £1 million handbag (almost two million US dollars). With over 2,000 diamonds and platinum construction, the detachable strap can be worn as a necklace or bracelet. Don't let that overwhelm you - the eight-carat pear-shaped diamond centre-piece can be worn as a brooch. That justifies the price tag...
